I Love Seoul: Gyeongbokgung Palace

Palace day!  It was more than I could imagine; seeing something like Gyeongbokgung palace.  It was really breathtaking.

You know something else that was amazing?

Seeing this ancient palace right next to the modern buildings in Seoul.  What a contrast.

So, I went on a weekday and it didn’t seem to be too busy.  Just a lot of curious school kids on their field trip. In fact, a lot of them wanted to say hello & practice some of their English on me.  Since it was more peaceful that day, I had a rare moment to sit down at one point & just soak it all in.  No noise, crowd, or distraction.  Save for the own distraction going on in my head; daydreaming of what would it have been like to be royalty and live in the palace. You know, one thing kept coming into my mind….cold….I’d feel cold.  Or maybe that’s why they wore so many layers? To keep warm?

Well enough of the mindless daydreaming. Here’s a slew of photos for your eyes to enjoy.
